Timeline get into the swing of things this week at Muirfield as we tee-off at The Open.

It is going to be an action-packed week on the green as Timeline provide a number of technical solutions to cover the prestigious golfing championship.

Since 2008 we have supplied edit systems, to cut media gathered by the host broadcaster, for the rights holder IMG. All of the live material from each round is recorded, via an EVS server system, to nearline storage and logged using IP Director.

The Producers are then able to search the logs for suitable footage and with the press of a button they can send the clip to the edit system, faster than real-time.

In addition to this, Timeline’s edit suites and IP Director led implementation are used to produce footage for the R&A website.

Timeline also distribute internal vision feeds for Broadcasters.

As the golfers compete to win the coveted silver claret jug, Timeline score a hole in one with their IP-Director solution and shared edit facilities.
