As the sun rose on Saturday morning on London’s Trafalgar square, Timeliner’s were busy at work setting up our fly away kit and camera equipment for the finale of Tate Britain’s movie project.
The Tate roadshow has been up and down the UK over the past year doing work shops with hundreds of children to create the cartoon “The Itch of the Golden Nit”, the first film made by children for children. Timeline were delighted to work on this event along side big screen specialists ADI to create the full main stage technical and production requirements. Timeline provided a compact but fully featured 2 rack flyaway kit comprising of the Panasonic AV-HS450 mixer, Riedel Talkback Matrix, Camlinx camera control units and Yamaha Sound Desk. The Timeline team was also equipped with 2 * EX3 cameras with Camlinx Fibre backs, 1 EX3 camera with specially designed EX3 Gigawave link and data control, 1 Panasonic AG-HMR10 Mini Camera and an EVS LSM for play-in of Inserts and providing montages and replays.
The day was a roaring success with thousands of families coming and going from all over the world throughout the day to enjoy the onsite workshops and then watch various screenings of ‘Golden Nit’ and live segments on the main stage. The Tate Team were also presented with a Guinness World Record for most individual contributions to an animated film.
