Company Continues Investment in Post-Production Services in the North

London and MediaCityUK based Timeline Television, a major provider of post-production, outside broadcast and studio-based services for every major UK network, has continued its commitment to its facilities in MediaCityUK with the renewal of a five year lease at its state-of-the-art facility. In addition, it has expanded its cloud-based editing solutions to post production clients.

Timeline Television North was a pioneer in the region, building the first independent post production and broadcast facility in MediaCityUK, and after four years has grown and invested in the facility which now offers:

  • Six Avid Media Composer/Adobe Premiere/FCP Offline suites
  • Two Avid Online Suites
  • DaVinci Grading Theatre
  • Two Pro Tools Audio Dub Suites
  • Tracklay Suite
  • Voice Over Booth
  • Fully Equipped MCR with Content Agent for media transcodes and AS11 delivery files

Furthermore Timeline Television has developed cloud-based editing solutions with Avid and Adobe enabling clients, at any location, to ingest media and edit using on-the-fly proxies, and seamlessly finishing in full resolution in our facility. Using Timeline Access, the in-house asset management web portal, producers can view and approve rushes or on-going edits from their phones, tablets or laptops.

Based on the 17th floor of Blue Tower, the facility includes full edit support staff, post producers, live transmission specialists and dubbing mixers. Paul Tovee recently joined the business to lead the facility.

With new multi-gigabit connectivity between their sites in Ealing, Soho and MediaCityUK, Timeline Television can offer clients across the country – and across the entire post production and broadcast spectrum – access to their full range of services, from studio facilities, multi-camera acquisition, split-location post-production projects, remote VO & audio services, private cloud storage, long-term asset and archive management, file transfer, QC and programme delivery services, outside broadcasts, remote editing solutions and broadcast IT services, with access to these services from any of their locations.
